Hornet is perfect boat to expand your cruising grounds. A sloop rigged Marshall 22 variant, she is a rugged, sea-kindly boat with classic looks that will turn heads in any marina. With a retractable centerboard (keel), her two-foot draft (centerboard retracted, 5’2 centerboard down) will let you access anchorages and coves that are off limits to most cruising sailboats. The M-22 is roomy enough for a family of four and simple enough for a couple to enjoy a relaxing weekend away from home.
An elegant day sailer, the M-22 is also a capable coastal cruiser. Accommodations below compare to those found in larger boats.
Well maintained, Hornet was completely refit in 2012 (including a full engine rebuild), full hull re-paint in 2016, lightly used and stored on land (in a covered, dry facility since 2016).Refit was conducted by original builder Marshall Marine Corporation (www.marshallcat.com) to original specifications.
With a retractable centerboard and custom built trailer means Hornet can be self transported anywhere (with a vehicle with sufficient towing capacity).
